Remploy is the largest and oldest employer of disabled people in Britain and is not only a workplace by a way of life for thousands of disabled people who work there through choice not through force.
Remploy was established after the second World War to provide employment for the armed forces injured in the pursuit of freedom. To this date Remploy provides sustainable employment manufacturing high quality products to some of the UK’s top companies including the MOD.
We are now fast approaching the ½ way stage of the prior consultation before recommendations are acted upon by the DWP on behalf of the Government, which only leaves us approx 2 months to prevent it.
With that in mind, we urge you to help us to save thousands of jobs for these disabled people as it could very well mean the end of sustainable supported employment for disabled people in the UK.

But the reality is that for those of you who like myself feel that a disabled person has less advantages and opportunities in the job market; (particularly in the current economic climate) where there are very few jobs for anyone let alone a disabled person, please help bring an end to this madness where 2,500 disabled people are put out of work to employ disabled people.
